I didn’t fall in love with poetry early in life, in fact, quite the opposite. As a young girl, I believed poetry was only about rhyme, and in high school, English composition was the one subject that never came naturally to me. I even failed my final English exam, yet somehow passed the French composition in my bilingual province , something that still makes me laugh today.

But life has a way of leading us back to our true voice.

For years, I carried vivid dreams and moments inside me without realizing they were stories waiting to be written. As a single mother balancing work and responsibility, writing always felt like a luxury I didn’t have time for. My creative outlets became photography and travel, both allowing me to capture life in different ways.

Everything changed three years ago when my brother-in-law passed away. His loss stirred something deep within me. In my grief, I wrote a poem called Today, the very first poem I ever completed, and the final poem featured in my book Poems of Life, which I dedicated to him. I had no idea that one poem would open a door I thought had closed long ago.

One year later, I found myself writing again, poetry, stories, reflections, and eventually creating my second collection. Writing has now become the place where I honor memories, explore emotions, and connect with readers who find pieces of their own journey within my words.

MY HISTORY

I was born in Montreal Quebec Canada 1 of 5 children. English composition was not one of my forte's. But I did win a spelling bee in the sixth grade. And I was doing my final exams to graduate high school I needed to more credits and I had two more exams to do English composition and

French composition. Got my results for the French composition first and I passed yay. Then I got my English results and I was missing for points to get my credit. So officially I did not graduate. but to me I did just the same. 15 years later I went back and got my diploma.

Fast forward and I have written to poetry books. Who would ever thought that would happen. Never give up on yourself..
